From the recording Why Don't I Hear the Trains?
Originally recorded in 2019 with retirement looming, this reflected my fears in aging: dementia, institutionalization, and loneliness. It imagines a man who lived near train tracks, but they are now gone. The lyrics include references to Alzheimers victims Ronald Reagan and Glen Campbell. This 2026 remix version is the work of The (new) DEMO Project.
